UASA SACCO Holds 2026 Annual General Meeting at The Excellence School

UASA SACCO held its Annual General Meeting on 20th July 2026 at The Excellence School, bringing together director members, the national board and the secretariat for a full day of reporting, deliberation and planning.

The meeting opened with a roll call of delegates and the adoption of the agenda, followed by the confirmation of the minutes of the previous general meeting. The Sacco's vision, mission and core values were displayed prominently in the hall, setting the tone for a session focused on accountability and member value.

• Presentation and adoption of the audited accounts for the year
• Report on member recruitment across APBET schools countrywide
• Review of the savings, shares and loan portfolios
• Proposals on dividends and interest on deposits
• Adoption of the 2026/27 business plan and budget

Members at the centre

Delegates used the open forum to raise practical questions on loan turnaround times, guarantor requirements and how contributions made through Paybill 400200 are reflected on member statements. The secretariat committed to shorter processing timelines and clearer monthly statements for every member.

Directors also urged the Sacco to keep growing its education-sector focus, noting that a common understanding of how APBET schools earn and spend is what makes UASA SACCO different from a mainstream lender.

“This Sacco belongs to the directors in this room. Every shilling saved here is meant to come back to your school as capital, not disappear into fees.”

The year ahead

The adopted plan prioritises three things: faster loan disbursement, deeper county-level presence, and stronger digital access so members can check balances and apply for facilities without travelling to Nairobi.

Members who missed the AGM can request the resolutions and reports from the secretariat, and are encouraged to keep their contributions current ahead of the next dividend computation.
